I went to this place when wandering alone through Washington around lunchtime. It was unbearably hot outside, so I was relieved to come into the coolness of restaurant. Because it was fairly late in the lunchbreak (around 2.30), the restaurant was empty apart from a family from Texas with the three month old baby. It didn't matter though as the service was excellent. I asked the waitress what the most popular dishes were, and she recommended the salad mentioned in other reviews, and a delicious Ginger noodle dish. I decided to go for 'half portions' of both, a tactic I thoroughly recommend if one wants to finish one's plate(s)! I rounded the meal off, folowing animated conversation with the Texan family, with warm coconut cake, served with tapioca and ice cream. It all came to less than $15. All in all, I was delighted to have chosen thus unassuming place as an unusual culinary stop in a city where you can get anything you want.
