“Good food, a little pricey”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 19, 2013

My wife and I tried this restaurant just to have a different taste since we have been eating American food for most of our stay in DC. The taste of their food gave us back our memories of our stay in Paris. The food was good, it was almost the same taste as the restaurants we dine in Paris. The service of the staff was great. They were all friendly and helpful. One thing though, the value was a little bit pricey for the amount of food we ate. Overall, it is a good place to eat if you are in Georgetown area.

“A Quick Trip to Paris, in Georgetown!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 1, 2013

We have been enjoying Bistro Francais since 2007, and have dined there every year since. Our last visit was wonderful as usual. You walk in from the busy Georgetown street and suddenly you are back in France! We were greeted by the same charming Captain and shown to our table the moment we walked in the door for dinner! Within seconds our waiter offered us still or sparkling water and we were off... They had fresh filet of Sole that night, expensive but worth every penny! They offer a wine special with dinner, half off one of their most expensive wines, so we enjoyed a $190 Burgundy for just $85! A delightful treat to say the least. Do call or email for reservations as they are very popular, but they are open until 3AM Every Day! Amazing~! Perfect for the late night dinner celebration. We love Bistro Francais!

We never visit DC without a meal at Bistro Francais. This time it was brunch.
The price/value cannot be beat in DC!

“Too Pricey”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 20, 2013

Not terribly impressed. Picked this restaurant out of our guide book at our hotel. Expected more from this restaurant. The exterior and interior were cute and looked like a great place for dinner. One person in our party of 4 has a Gluten allergey and the waiter was not very helpful in selecting options for him. He and I ended up with the ray fish which was very good but served with plain boiled potatoes - did not seem very "French" - and not presented well on the plate. Another had the Chicken corden blue which was served with plain old pre frozen French fires. At least I would have expected "fresh" fries more like pommes frites. My husband had lamb shanks with some kind of sausage on couscous which he said was just ok. Very disappointed with the pricey meal.
