“Expensive but an excellent main course”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 16, 2014 via mobile

I visited Tosca on the evening of 15 May. The first course was a disappointing Arugala Salad. No attempt had been made to make it interesting. By contrast, the main course, a lobster ravioli, was outstanding. Absolutely delicious. I was impressed with the service which was unusually as good for a single customer as for couples and other groups.

“No ambiance, food was ok. Not worth the price.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 20, 2014

I may be an Italian food snob but this restaurant was no where near some of the great Italian restaurants I have had in NYC or other cities. The service was slow, we waited a while for them to bring bread and it was cold. The foccacia bread seemed like it came out of a pre-packaged bread bag. The salad I had with artichokes and squid was fine but it probably had a half of squid cut up into tiny pieces and one artichoke, very little dressing (if any). The lobster ravioli came with 3 on a plate with lobster on top. The sauce was luke warm and OK. Overall, smaller portions for outrageous prices. If you are ok with spending 32 dollars for 3 ravioli that are OK, enjoy. My fiance got the $40 scallop dish and was also less then impressed. The tiramisu was ok but nothing to rave about for their "signature dessert". Will never come back, was not memorable and certainly not worth $90 a person before tip.

“Great Pre-Theatre Menu”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 9, 2014

Romantic and delicious. Chestnut soup was to die. Loved my fish and thought the husband's pork was delightful, moist and smokey. In a good way. The service was lovely as well. Just watch out for the ridiculously expensive cocktails. Twenty bucks? For gin? It left this couple feeling a little taken-advantage of, frankly. But given every other taste, sip and moment was pleasant we wanted to overlook it when it came to this rating. Your mileage, as they say, might vary on that.

“Great "high-end" Italian restaurant”

One of the best Italian meals ever. First class service, food and atmosphere. Good choice for a romantic evening or a business dinner.

“Excellent”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 30, 2014

Tosca offers a pre theatre special that has many options for the 3 courses at $38. The fish was prepared perfectly, as was the ravioli.
Service is impeccable with a signature style of attentive oversight.
