If I'm going to drop $350 on dinner for two, I expect the restaurant to be operating on all cylinders at a high level of expertise. While the food was definitely very good, the service was a huge disappointment. The staff seemed to disappear for extended periods of time, leaving our table dangling. You should not have to pour your own wine and continually beckon for attention at this price range. I don't know what the problem was. It's not as if the restaurant was that busy -- there were empty tables throughout the evening. The staff seemed to simply forget about us.
As for the food, here is a review of our items:
Parsnip soup with tarragon - Very rich and delicious
Red snapper bisque - Overpowering in a somewhat unpleasant way
Lobster carpaccio - Drizzled with a light, zesty dressing. Very good appetizer
Soft shell crab entree - Well prepared and tasty
Baked antelope - The highlight of the meal for me. Excellent
Wine - Evening Land Pinot Noir from Oregon. Beautiful wine. It's a
shame that the staff didn't see to it that it was served properly.
I'm not sure I could recommend Corduroy, considering how many other options there are at this price range.
