“Food was great!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 11, 2013

The restaurant was PACKED and there was a wait to be seated. We were a party of 10, so they seated us at a large table in the "exterior" part of the restaurant. Those that ordered Bloody Mary's were raving about them. Everyone in our group was very pleased with their meals. The chef prepared a fabulous off-the-menu vegan entree for me.

“Avoid for breakfast”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed May 11, 2013 via mobile

Visited in the basis of a recommendation from the hotel concergie. Breakfast menu was a joke, token breakfast offerings. Basically the dinner menu is available for breakfast. Waiter actually offered us soup at 9am !! If you want breakfast there is far better on offer.

“We loved this Place!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 10, 2013

My wife and I went here for lunch on our first visit to DC. It was our best lunch of the week; not cheap, but great food and excellent atmosphere. She had tenderloin on open faced english muffin with bernaise, I had parmesan encrusted trout, and they were both excellent. The history in the place would be enough to make it worthwhile, but couple it with the food and it is a don't miss. Would be the tops on my list if/when I return to DC.
Worth every penny.

“Good selection - Oysters were great.”

I went with a few co workers. The food was good but it was very busy. There are better restaurants in DC for that price.

“Food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 9, 2013

One of the oldest restaurants in DC and food still is just as good. Love to go for breakfast or lunch. You just can't lose. Great for anytime of the day.
