“Great hotel- amazing location!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2013

We stayed at the Hampton Inn on July 4th with 2 small kids. Walking distance to the fireworks (even carrying back a sleeping 5 yr old). Don't expect frills- no room service but nice, clean and spacious rooms. Breakfast was great, esp for kids- there was a wide variety. Staff was very friendly. I would def stay there again! This hotel is a hidden gem!

Room Tip: Ask for the H street room view. Three sides of the hotel look out to buildings.

The staff at this new hotel was very helpful in arranging transportation and tours and recommending places to eat. They offered umbrellas since it was raining. One young lady also took family photos for us. Overall, the staff seemed to anticipate our every need or desire. The hotel itself is beautifully decorated with contemporary flair, and the rooms are very nice and comfortable.

The room was spotless; the staff extremely accommodating, friendly, and helpful; the experience thoroughly enjoyable; and the price point for the location - reasonable. Breakfast could have been slightly more diverse with the daily selection, but still better than most.

I came here and stayed in the Knight Suite. The room was huge! The hotel is very, very new (front desk clerks hadn't even been in the suite yet!), which makes everything better! Breakfast was great and getting chocolate chip cookies in the afternoon was awesome! The location was great, within walking distance to the White House (hence the name) and a couple of blocks from the Farragut West Metro Station. It was a great stay!

We stayed here for the George Washington University freshman orientation, and we enjoyed it. It's a brand new hotel providing a comfortable room, courteous staff, free wifi and breakfast, with valet parking available.

This hotel opened in June, and we stayed there a few weeks later. Areas for improvement: had an A/C issue that was partially resolved. Breakfast seating was crowded and shortage of a few items like OJ, sugar, cups, other items. Only one waffle iron that always had a line. Lobby seating is the same as the breakfast seating, so it is a little awkward trying to eat sitting on a couch crowded around a small table. Business room door was stuck and could not enter one evening.

The good: usually very good service, rooms were nice and comfortable, rates were reasonable for location and quality of hotel, great location near metro and White House. Overall, I would stay here again and hope some of the items above are resolved being a newly opened hotel.

Although not inexpensive, the location, taste, and condition of the hotel and the helpfulness of the staff made the stay worthwhile. The only slight negatives were that the front desk was often crowded, causing a long delay in service, and the floor in the room was not well swept.
