The show starts at 8pm and finishes at 10pm with an intermission about half way through. It is pacey and hilarious. The actors are all excellent and seem to be really enjoying themselves. Go out onto the Terrace at the Kennedy Center at intermission for a nice view of the Potomic and city lights. We sat in Row F and had an amazing view but were just far enough from the stage not to get pulled into the interaction with the actors. Beware, if you sit in the first two rows, you may get involved. The theater is newly renovated and looks amazing. It is bright, fun and every seat gets an excellent view. You can involve yourself in the murder mystery as little or as much as you like. During our night out, one of the "detectives" invited anyone out onto the Terrace with him to discuss clues during intermission and a group of 10 did just that. They put a lot of soul into this to make it a great night out. There are lots of topical jokes during the performance. We were are not from the USA and didn't get all the local references but it didn't take away from the fun night. I would say it is not suitable for children given some of the humor. There are plenty of toilets right close to the theater lab so you don't have to wait long at intermission. Also, if you want food or souvenirs, buy at intermission because they are gone when you come out at the end.
