“Lively tapas restaurant near Dupont”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 11, 2013

Great place for lunch with friends. Limited menu but excellent food--tapas, sandwiches, salads. At a recent lunch with friends, we had a beet salad, lamb sandwich with accompanying salad, and a shrimp, fennel and citrus salad. All delicious. Service is friendly and very attentive. The restaurant has both inside and outside seating--opt for outside if you want to talk as the interior can get noisy. Decent selection of wines and desserts. Prices are moderate and you can have a nice lunch for under $20.00.

“Great atmosphere, wonderful food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 5, 2013

This was a fun, trendy tapas restaurant and we enjoyed our meal there. The hostess and servers were very helpful and knowledgable and helped us pick out two fabulous wines. We ordered the paella and were impressed with the amount of seafood it contained. It was full of people and kind of noisy but a really fun atmosphere. Would definitely go back.

“Mixed feelings, but good food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 17, 2013

Had lunch here. The first time we had tried it, after hearing good things about the place. We were originally put at a table in the main room, where all the tables are like sitting at a bar, on high chairs where your feet do not touch the floor. It was crowded and noisy. And uncomfortable. We asked to be moved and were put in a room by ourselves, which was great. We still got decent service and could hear each other talk without shouting.

Compared to my experiences at Jaleo, I would rate the food a step or two below. And it is quite expensive too. There were no cold tapas on the menu, and the salads were all entree sized. The dates with bacon were very small, but quite tasty. The beef croquettes were delicious. Spinach with garbanzo beans and pine nuts was nice, but not great. Other food was OK. Not many innovative selections on the menu. I just didn't feel we got our moneys worth.

“Awesome food and service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 30, 2013

We were recommended to this restaurant by the hotel. We called and got reservations confirmed. When we arrived we were seated right away at a window seat, which was great.
The service and the quality of the food was really good. It is a tapas restaurant so if you like that kind of food and ever in the area, I would not hesitate to recommend it.

I also had the most awesome dessert special for the night. Delicious, delicious. Apple tart with ice cream (cannot remember the Spanish name)

“Excellent tapas!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 26, 2013

This is a fantastic after-work place for tapas and a drink or two. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and recommended a delicious cheese (La Serena), cava, and Spanish sausage. We also had the tortilla, anchovy crostini, and the croquettes. Everything was really great!

The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because the high top tables and seating are a bit uncomfortable. The bar-side tabletops are so small, it's not nearly enough room for food and drinks.
