“Excellent place with excellent person”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 3, 2013

This is a very nice place located in a very convenient neighboor close
to the subway (green line). The person in charge is so nice and funny,
we had very nice conversations at breakfast time. The house is pretty,
with even a piano in the living room. The street is also vey nice, with
those houses french-style, red briks, flowers ahead, and the trees
dancing in the wind. A lot of nearby restaurants and jazz clubs, with so
kind people! In summary, highly recommended!

Paulette's breakfasts are great: fresh fruit, light pancakes one day and eggs to your liking the next! Room & bath are clean; there is alot of clutter in the room but its all dusted and unique.
Nice a/c for those humid Washington evenings. Neighbourhood is perfect: safe & beautiful with all the late 19 C architecture. Walking distance to excellent restaurants in both Dupont and Logan Circles. 2 min. walk to bus which goes down to the mall near the National Art Gallery. Subway 15 min walk away. Would definitely stay again with fortunate enough to be back in Washington.

It was good experience. The rooms/toilets are not cleaned on daily basis. For the six nights I stayed not even on day the toilet was cleaned. For the cost involved, I thought perhaps rooms/toilets need to be cleaned regularly.

Room Tip: There are only two rooms. I would say the one on1st floor as the 2nd room is in basement.

Paulette was the perfect host. She was very helpful, friendly and she cooked the most amazing breakfasts. She really made us feel at home!

The B&B is situated in a residential area within working distance from The White House (and if you do not feel like walking, the bus stops almost right outside the house). There are loads of places nearby to get a good meal; 14th Street right next to Corcoran Street is lined with restaurants, so it is not even necessary to go into the city center for dinner.

We would definitely stay with Paulette again!

I went to DC for the first time in April 2013. I travelled by myself so I was a little hesitant at the start. I soon realised that Paulette's B&B was in the perfect location and that she was a great host. My room was downstairs and although it was a pull out sofa bed it was incredibly comfortable and clean. I walked to most venues and felt safe in the local area of a night time. Breakfast was a treat each morning and so was the beautiful weather that DC had in store for me. I was only there for bed and breakfast so it suited my adventure perfectly.

This is a wonderful location in DC - easy walking to great restaurants and shops and access to public transportation. My room was perfect - both the bedroom and bathroom were a good size, comfortable, and very clean. Paulette is a lovely hostess. Would definitely stay there again.

Paulette's incredible, beautiful home was so warm, cute, and comfortable. I stayed on the 2nd floor queen room and fell immediately in love with the location, Paulette's care, and the clean, beautiful row home. Paulette is truly one of a kind-she not only provides you with a fulfilling breakfast tailored to your needs and tastes, but gives you conversation and stories you'll enjoy. She was so exceptionally kind and respectful, yet very mindful to your privacy. One of my favorite moments here was when Paulette let me play a song on her unique, gorgeous 1920s grand piano that graced her bay window.

I will NEVER forget my stay here and how accommodating Paulette was. This was the BEST experience I've ever had in D.C. with rooming. I can't recommend this place enough, and I hope to stay here again soon. Thank you Paulette!!!

Room Tip: Paulette said that even the pull-out couch room, which I didn't choose, had a new mattress and w...
