“Stylish hotel, good location, great restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 days ago NEW

Our family of four stayed four nights in one room with two queen beds. The hotel lobby and rooms are very stylish and the service is excellent. The bathroom was a little cramped.

There are a number of places to eat within 5-10 minutes walk and there is a metro station (Foggy Bottom/GWU) nearby. The Big Bus (hop-on, hop-off tourist bus) also has a stop nearby.

We had dinner once in the hotel restaurant, Jardenea, and were surprised how good it was. If you stay we would definitely recommend giving it a try.

Danielle, thank you for your review. I’m pleased to hear that you and your family had a lovely experience with us. I certainly hope you were all able to see the beautiful attractions that DC has to offer. I’m glad to see that you enjoyed our delicious farm-to-fork restaurant, Jardenea. I will be sure to pass along your kind words to the head chef and his team. We would love to have you back the next time you find yourself in DC.

Best,

This has to be worst four star property ever in terms of management. They list down something and then so casually deny it as if it's nothing. They listed their executive king suite and ON THEIR OWN WEBSITE with features that includes kitchenette. As I am not great fan of outside food, like many, i consider this hotel for same reason. Somehow i thought of dropping an email and then book. The respondent so casually replied "no kitchenette". When I insisted why is grossly misleading information given, forget booking.com, your own website further a one-liner casual response came "it hasn't been updated yet". All this misleading information for a NON-REFUNDABLE booking which is still not corrected even after two days of communication. God knows whether such misinformation is being provided deliberately.

I wrote further three emails https://goo.gl/GdV0mL which were ignored conveniently and am yet to receive any response (already more than 24 hours over!). I was seriously considering of staying six nights but with callous attitude and unethical practices, it's better I stay far from this property.

Pathetic for a Four Star Property!! On brigther side, this review one star completes their five star!! ;)

We picked the hotel due to prime location. We traveled w/ kids age 10, 6. We were able to walk couple of blocks to see the monuments, closer to the subway. Walking distance to trader joe to get quick snacks, drinks. Close to couple of restaurants.

From the moment we arrived, the hotel staff from the valet parking staff to be Bell staff and Front Desk attendants made you feel welcomed and providedasmooth transition from. The street to your room. the rooms were spacious and well maintained. From coffee in the. Morning to the Happy Hour I the evening, the atmosphere of the hotel made one feel welcomed and served as a great transition to the events to occur that day. The support that we receive as we prepared for our daughter's wedding made this the perfect place to stay. Mark Peppas and his staff are to complimented on all that they did. Additionally the brunch held in their Olympic Room was outstanding and the selections from lox and bagels to fruit trays and breakfast parfait so were fantastic

Bob, thank you for your review. I’m very happy to hear that your stay with us was a great one. Our staff works extremely hard to make sure our guests don’t have to worry about a thing while they are with us and I’m glad to see this applied to you. We love making our guests feel like they’re home as soon as they walk through our front doors. I will be sure to pass along your kind words to Mr. Peppas and look forward to your next stay.

This was my 3rd stay at this comfortable centrally located hotel - walking distance to most of the big Banking corporations and Government agencies, Foggy Bottom Metro station is an easy downhill 10 minutes walk away, close to all Georgetown and all its delicacies and nightlife, with a Whole Foods and Starbucks outlet catering for student appetites thrown in for those early morning meetings.
Only problem I have is their expensive breakfasts and room service - avoid unless you are on a corporate budget!
The new rooms are clean and uncluttered and the wifi broadband is now vastly improved and fast (although still being charged for)

Room Tip: If you need quiet -avoid being close to the lift (lots of late night traffic) and ask for a room fac...

The Melrose Georgetown is a wonderful hotel located in an excellent spot to see and explore Washington, D.C. and Georgetown. The room was spacious and comfortable and the staff was exceptionally professional, friendly and helpful. Connor and Latonya were particularly helpful in guiding us to the perfect dinning experience or helping us get the best out of our tourist experience. We had breakfast at the hotel every morning and the food was wonderful. I can't say enough things about this hotel. My partner and I will certainly stay here again when we visit again.

We were in town for Memorial Day to pay homage at the Viet Nam Memorial. The hotel is within easy walking distance to the memorial and Georgetown. The staff is very courteous, efficient, and friendly. Our room was spotless, and all of the amenities worked fine. There are no coffee makers in the rooms, but we seldom use one anyway. Our bed was probably the nicest hotel bed we've slept on, and it gave us an incredible night's sleep. Our only negative comment is the lack of decaf coffee in the lobby in the morning. We would definitely stay here again when in D.C.
