“This place is no faulty towers”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 9, 2013

Great hotel. Got a good price of 60 pounds. Thats about 90 bucks. The room was great and spacious. A short walk from G Town. Subways. Etc.

The service was fantastic. They hooked us up with maps, places to eat, taxis. The receptionist was amazing, I am unsure of her name. But so helpful. Which I really value at a hotel. People don't realise how important staff are.

Great stay. Thanks guys.

We stayed one night while interviewing at the Reagan Building on Pennsylvania Ave. The hotel is spotless and EVERY employee we met had a big smile and asked us about our stay. We had booked it online and got a superb rate for DC, plus they upgraded us to an executive suite. The rooms were large and comfortable and the bed felt brand new. Big fluffy pillows on the bed and comfortable furniture in the sitting room. The stay just couldn't have been more pleasant.

Excellent location! The hotel is a few minutes walk from the main shops and restaurants in Georgetown and about 10 mins from the White House. There is a metro station about 3 mins walk away which gives you access to the blue and orange lines so visiting distant attractions is easy. The staff were very friendly and always greeted you as you entered or walked round the hotel. The hotel was clean, well maintained and the room was very comfy.

We stayed a couple nights at the Melrose during the March on Washington. The hotel is nicely decorated and spotless! Really good customer service. Valet parking was a bit steep for me at $45... It may be worth your while to park in a public garage. http://washingtondc.bestparking.com/ This site says there is parking available within walking distance for around $10. It is only about a 2 block walk to the nearest Metro but it seems longer. Overall this I had a VERY nice stay here!

I loved this hotel, the staff was exceptional and the rooms are a great size. Nice and roomy rooms made our stay even better. Air did not work well the first night but was fixed once I let them know.
Beds were a bit stuff but cleanliness of room and hotel made up for it.
Free ice water all day and fitness facility was nice too.

We stayed for 3 nights in the Melrose. The rooms were excellent and the hotel personnel friendly and helpful.
Location is not really ideal if you want to spend your time on the Mall, but taxi are really affordable and will bring you there in no time.
On the other end, it is a perfect base to discover Georgetown on foot.

This hotel has just been renovated . The location is perfect, few minutes walk to M Street shopping . close to the Four Seasons where you can enjoy " Bourbon steak" .
The hotel itself is really worth it : we stayed in a suite , loved the furniture, colors, a mix of modern touch on classic . The staff was helpful .
The lobby is beautiful , with the restaurant and bar . Dinner is excellent , breakfast too .
free wi-fi
valet parking was 38$
what could be improved :
no towel rack in the bathroom , bathtub area is quite small but that you can't change!
no glass in the bathroom either , so you have to use the plastic(!) one provided in the room which doesn't meet the standard you expect
the guy doing a touch up paint in the lobby was stepping on the sofa with his shoes ..
Anyway, I do recommend this hotel .
