“After all is said and done, this gets a very high recommendation”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 24, 2014

Georgetown Suites has a terrific location, that is close and convenient to most of DC that a tourist would want to see. The price is right, a lot of bang for your buck. The rooms and suites vary a lot. We were in a two bedroom, which had a small kitchen and a living room...simple, plain but clean and comfortable. Our two teen grandchildren shared a double double and it was huge and very nice. Our rooms were quiet, but the AC was a bit old and noisy.
The staff is friendly and helpful. The lobby very small and the breakfast room very small for the size of the hotel and so often very crowded. The food very average, but enough to get you going for the day. Parking was convenient, though at a price.
This is a great deal for a family visiting DC and not wanting to spend a fortune, as hotels are most all to the high priced side. Not elegant, but nice.

OVERALL RATING EXCELLENT, ESPECIALLY THE SERVICE.
Beautiful hotel and clean, big, quiet room. Paul at the front desk, handled phone calls and people so expertly, he made it look easy and fun. And when we asked about the parking price down the street, he offered us a discount on the GTS price. Hotel clean, and Rene our cleaning lady, very sweet. Breakfast was interesting and tasty...had several protein options, especially loved the Greek yogurt. BUT, MOST OF ALL, THIS PLACE HAS THE BEST COFFEE IN THE WORLD FOR BREAKFAST.
Oh, and this is in a very pretty place, with lots to walk around and look at and do in safety. Very pretty outside entrance, back from the street.

This is the best located hotel in Georgetown, DC. 50 meters to famous M street and 100 meters to Harbor. Harbor area and M street are must places to see and enjoy. Lots of quality and affortdable restaurants nearby. There is a private parking lot in 50 meters. Rooms are huge , clean and comfortable. Only downside is noisy ACs but I haven't seen a silent AC in USA ;-)

When you walk into this hotel, it's a little weird because the lobby is so small as is the front desk. The staff is very polite and helpful. The room I booked was dirty. There was hair in the tub and sink and the floor was not mopped. The front desk clerk was so nice and waived the parking fee of $30.00 as well as gave me an upgrade to a very large suite which was generous. That room was a little cleaner, but the couch was stained and the bathroom floor was not mopped . The sheets were nice though. The breakfast was plentiful , basic fare, but very crowded. It is a tiny dining area ,and when everyone comes at breakfast time , there is no room to sit. The giant plus for this hotel is the location. It is central to Georgetown's main drag. You can walk to Everything! So that was great. Hope this helps when you book. Its a matter of priorities.

This was a great hotel for its location (great shopping area), the suite size (kitchen area, dinning, lounge and bedroom). My family of 2 adults and 2 teenagers loved it as we had 2 TVs and free wifi. The staff members were very helpful and the free breakfast was a plus. The gym was great as well. We used the king size bed, a sofa bed as well as a rollaway bed and had plenty of space for our big suitcases.

A proper suite, just the right size for a family visit. The location was perfect easy access to the Capital via the great bus service, plenty of good local restaurants and great shopping.

The hotel offered a really good breakfast, though it was a little crowded at times so getting in early on weekdays. Rooms were a really good size and well equipped but the hotel overall was starting to get tired. Rooms needed a little updating but for the price we paid this was fine.

Room Tip: All the rooms seem to be in a quiet location.

My husband and I are in the middle of an extra-long weekend stay in DC at Georgetown Suites, and I want to share just how pleased we are with this jewel. We were not expecting anything special, considering the price and location of the hotel, but we were delightfully surprised upon check-in.

The reception desk is staffed round the clock with wonderfully congenial men who are helpful from the beginning of the day onward. The location of the hotel absolutely can't be beat at 30th and M Street, right in the middle of Georgetown life. Our son lives in Georgetown, and we are one block from his workplace and three blocks from his home. Location really is everything and Georgetown Suites will be our go-to lodging, regardless of what DC area we are visiting.

I'm not sure what all the fuss is about in relation to decorating. I couldn't disagree more with those who have complained. Rooms are quite spacious, bigger than a Georgetown studio apartment, with a full kitchen, eating area, sitting area, comfy bed, and nicely-appointed bath offering Bath and Body Works products. The entire place is spotlessly cleaned every afternoon. The decor itself is simple and clean. In fact, this sort of design is quite the trend at upscale hotels in our hometown of Denver.

All in all, we have commented each day that this hotel has been one of our best finds. When our stay comes to an end in a couple of days, we will already be looking forward to our next visit!
