Description: Our DC location opened its doors on May 26, 2011 -- it's our first location outside Manhattan! We serve the same Maine-style menu -- lobster, crab and shrimp rolls, and bisque and chowder -- in a Down East-inspired shack.

“Good Lobster for DC”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 11, 2012

The lobster roll I ordered was the best I've had south of New York. However, lobster is not cheap, so expect to pay over $10 for a lobster roll sandwich.

“Very good lobster rolls”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 13, 2012

My 2 favorite places in DC to get lobster rolls are the Red Hook Lobster food truck and Luke's Lobster. I think Luke's is the better value. The best deal is the $22 meal which gets you 1/2 a lobster roll, 1/2 shrimp roll, and 1/2 crab roll, 1 crab claw, chips, and bottled soda. The Red Hook food truck charges you about $15 just for the lobster roll. Luke's is a tiny place and the limited communal seating goes fast. At lunch time there can be a line outside the door and it can be impossible to get a seat. You can also get the food to go. Luke's is near the Chinatown/Gallery place metro so it's easy to get to.

“Great Find!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2012

We stopped here randomly before a visit to the Museum of Crime and Punishment (it's just around the corner). Great Crab and Shrimp rolls! This is a tiny little place with a very limited menu consisting primarily of rolls, soups and chips and, I have to say, the rolls were as good as those I've had in Boston. I will definitely make a stop here on a future visit to DC.

“Don't Bother”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 17, 2012

I found the lobster sandwich to be very bland, tasteless, and chewy. I was not impressed at all. The lobster should have been heated a bit more because it tasted like it just came out of the refrigerator. It's not worth the almost $20 for the sandwich, chips, and soda.

“A perfect lunch”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2012

I was hungry and happened to walk past this place. I was actually looking for a hot dog, but the ambience of this place really beckoned. I had a lunch special of lobster roll, chips, and a beer. It cost more than a hot dog, but then the experience was well worth the prize.
