“A deserving monument for a King!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

A small version of Mount Rushmorehere with the great mans figure hewn into the rock. Moving speeches surround this quiet oasis and you can sit here and take it all inlooking over the water. The visitors centre is small but you can buy books and souvenirs here. He deserves a museum here.

“Good but not memorable”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

Unfortunately a poor second to the Lincoln / Jefferson romanesque memorials, or the Vietnam / Korea pieces of art - still better than the very bland WWII memorial

“It was more than breathtaking”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

When I arrived I was moved to tears. The statue totally captured the strength of this man and the convictions he stood by. Reading each line etched into stone took time and required a lot of reflection on the depth of meaning behind those words, filled my heart again of the promise of his dream. Still a lot of work to do and it pertains to so many situations that need that conviction of heart and willingness to continue keeping that consciousness alive.

“Very interesting to visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

Inspiring quotations chiselled into the surrounding granite. No food or drink allowed near this memorial. Don't miss it.

“Time to look inside”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

Probaly the most moving for us. As white Australians we can only try and think abut the greatness of this man and his like and what he did for the world and the USA.
