“Service with a smile”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2012

The room was spacious, sparkling clean, lots of towels and good water pressure - not always the case in even the nicest DC hotels. But the St. Gregory really shines in guest services. Clearly management has caught on to the idea that attention to detail and a smiling staff makes the difference between adequate and "I'll be back."...and I will!

I am here for a training but sure has been taken care of by the staff of St. Gregory, especially the phenomenal professionalism manifested by one of your staff named Shadi. I have travelled to many places recently both within the U.S.A and U.K, but the excellent performance demonstrated by Shadi, and the team at the restaurant is positively beyond comparison. Again, I think the management of the Hotel and Suites is on the right track. Keep it up!

Room Tip: Fitness center is located on 2 nd floor and available to customers 24/7. Choice is yours.

Located in walking distance of GWU, this hotel was very comfortable and upgraded me to a suite. The room had a waffle robe, but no slippers. There was a full kitchen which means there was a stove, a microwave, a 3/4 fridge, and a dishwasher, sink, and coffee maker. There was no minibar or drinking water in the room. Room and bath were clean. Watched movies but at $17 a pop were too pricy. Added touch, free shoe shine if you hung them on your door before midnight. Late check-out meant only one additional hour without charge. Front desk was friendly, cheerful as we're doormen. Restaurant in lobby. Amenities were not special, but Zi liked the citrus-scented bath soap.

Room Tip: I was in a corner room suite

Can't say enough about the responsiveness of the staff at the St. Gregory. We were in town for the Marine Corp Marathon and planned to stay over Sunday night. With the threat of hurricane Sandy approaching we decided to leave early. They waived the cost of the room for the night ( We didn't check out until 5pm.) Then in my rush to leave a forgot a number of items in the hotel closet. The housekeeping staff found them and shipped them to me- Even with the hurricane that week I got my things in 5 days- Incredible!! The location is great! We walked almost every where. THe MStreet Grill was delicious too! Awesome Burgers!!

Room Tip: Higher floors are quieter

The St. Gregory turned out to be an excellent choice. Everyone was friendly and very professional. The rooms were very comfortable, and the location to DuPont Circle and the Metro made it the perfect location - just enough off of the beaten path, but close enough to walk to everything that you need. Great restaurants are throughout the neighborhood, which is beautiful.

If you're traveling as a family, you can get two rooms together on the corners, which connect in a way that makes them a family-friendly suite with a full kitchen with the bonus of a refrigerator. The rooms with the refrigerator are also great for business travelers. The amenities were great. The only downfall was the cost for the Internet. Also if you're traveling by car, try to book a package rate that includes the valet parking. That can be pretty pricey in DC, but we managed to do a special rate that included the cost.

I would easily choose to stay at the St. Gregory again.

Room Tip: Corner rooms are filled with windows. Try to get a room with a refrigerator. If traveling as a famil...

It is always a pleasure to stay at the St. Gregory. The staff, without exception, is friendly and helpful. Questions are answered quickly and problems resolved promptly. And the location is excellent.

The hotel is located close to the Dupont Circle. The rooms are spacious and have everything you could possibly need (kitchen, stove, microwave, refrigerator, dish washer...). The service is great, we thank very much Siomara (especially) for the great service. The rooms are very clean. We would definitelly return!
