The Marriott Courtyard is located in a convenient location for a variety of business meetings and is in close proximity to the convention center. The entrance to the hotel does not feel like a hotel at all, it still has a feeling of a bank. At first it is confusing as to where to go to register and most of the finishes of the entryway feel cold, not very warm and inviting. The rooms are comfortable and sizable. The corridors floors appear to have been poorly rebuilt using plywood and carpet because they creak and are bouncy. It is not a pleasant experience. The breakfast area is in the basement and is poorly designed with a very limited menu. The old bank vault door is on display to further explain that this was once a bank, as if it was not evident. It is a poor adaptive reuse that could have been handled much better given the original elegance of the building. The good news was that the rack rate was reasonable.
