“Great hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2014

Stayed in this hotel for 3 nights on a family trip. It was nice and clean and the room is very spacious. The room had a fridge which meant we could store water and snacks for the days activities. The only thing I would say its a bit far out from the main attractions, but near to union station. All staff are very helpful.

We stayed three nights here last week. The hotel is beautiful, new and very modern. The day we were leaving DC, we checked out in the morning, left our bags and went on a White House Tour. After lunch, my niece who was traveling with us, became very ill. We went back to the hotel and I attempted to arrange for a day room to use until we left for our flight later that night. The hotel was oversold so the manager couldn't give us a room. However, he set up a conference room with a rollaway bed for her and brought water and ginger ale. The staff (manager Charles, engineer Keith, and a very nice lady from housekeeping) checked on us periodically and offered any help we needed. It was incredibly helpful and made a huge difference to us. I would enthusiastically recommend this hotel!

I chose this hotel based on the price, but overall was pleasantly surprised. Hotel was very clean and my room was well-appointed and spacious. Check-in was a little slow (over 10 minutes), but overall I was happy with my experience. The area the hotel was in is a newly developed area in DC that's a bit in a no-man's land, but taxis are plentiful and it's not a long walk to the Capitol Hills area and other attractions. I would definitely return here in the future.

The staff at the hotel was super nice and the best part of the hotel. We were in DC to tour the city. I would have prefered to stay a little closer to the attractions but it was easy to take the metro to this hotel.
Our room was clean. We didn't like the a/c which constantly went on and off through the night and was very noisy. The platform beds were also noisy so we didn't have the best night sleep.

I met up with some friends in DC for a nice relaxing weekend and everything was going great. Overall the hotel was pretty good besides the club out front was a little shady if you were getting home late at night and DONT go to the Mcdonalds across the street after 10pm. Sunday when they pulled my car around from the valet lot my whole truck was wrecked. No body informed me of the damage all weekend and the first bit of information I received was "Do you know what guy parked your truck?". Due to this how can I give this experience any better than one star. I am already having to chase down the third party parking company for my claim.
