Well worthy of a visit ! Tour is over an hour , but unlike posted previously it is not free ! There is a $10.00 fee !!! But being able to explore these old houses as they were built and used for ! Just wonderful !!

“A very pleasant surprise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

My mother, a serious history buff, and I stopped by for a tour of the Wilson House on S Street and it was a highlight of our long weekend in DC. I feel that many historical homes are too "staged" and a level of authenticity is lost. The Wilson House feels like Woodrow and Edith have just stepped out for the afternoon and left us the key to wonder around. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and even met my mother's standards on historical accuracy. If you enjoy history, and frankly, even if you don't, this is a great way to spend a few hours in DC.

“Best of DC”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 12, 2012

Visitors, you have to go there!!! This is authentic house where he lived and died. Place where he had meatings with many state officials from all over the world. You will be able to his close, old kitchen, bath and bed where he died.

There is no fee for it.

One of the bests impressions from DC !!! Will go there again, LOVE IT.

“Adds insight to a complex president”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2012

Splendidly preserved and maintained home of one of our most productive presidents. The entire home and contents was given to the National Trust for Historic Preservation after President Wilson's wife's death, providing a uniquely rich environment for any history enthusiast. Our guide, second generation as his dad also works there, was thoroughly steeped in Wilson lore. Additionally, one room is dedicated to a carefully-prepared gallery of many technological advances made during Wilson's tenure in office. Some of the exhibits are delightfully hands-on, affording younger visitors access to technology of about 100 years ago. One of the first-ever electric cars may be viewed in the garage.

“A must do in DC - for all history buffs”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 11, 2012

Being a lover of history - this personalised tour was amazing - a must for any history buff in Washington DC
I loved this insight into an overlooked leader in America's history - the tour guide I had was outstanding - very informative and passionate
I can not recommend this tour and museum more
on the day I first attended I actually got lost and arrived with only 10 min to closing time the man at the desk allowed me to return the following day for free - what a host !! Outstanding - this should rate much higher
