I've been to Toscana Cafe a number of times and have never been disappointed. Their lunch and dinner menus are very different, but appropriate I think. At lunch they serve amazing sandwiches, salads and pizza (by the slice which is pretty rare in this neck of the woods). The pizza is quite possibly the best in the city (I'm from the New York City area so I consider myself a good judge of pizza). I love the Grecco sandwich. I've never had lamb so tender and sliced so thin. I also love any sandwich that has their sun-dried tomatoes. They are unlike any other sundried tomatoes I've ever had. So good.
Dinner is more upscale. I think their dinner menu changes pretty frequently. I've had some pretty amazing meals. Oh and I believe they make their own gelato. We brought our young son with us once (it was warm so we were able to sit outside -- I don't think we'd go with the kids if we were planning on sitting inside -- it's a little too small). The staff were very sweet to our son and at dessert time, walked him over and let him peek in at the gelato and pick out a flavor.
