“Very Peaceful & Educational Memorial”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 9, 2012

The entire site is very well-designed and peaceful, and includes waterfalls, landscaped beds, generous open courts and walkways, benches and flowering trees.

There are excellent sculptures of him, his dog, his wife, and the "bread-line" men of The Great Depression. There are also a number of inscriptions of his quotes on the walls surrounding the Memorial. Rest rooms and a gift shop are also there for the convenience of the visitors.

“Loved the space it was in and”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2012

Walking around the memorial was truly inspiring and made me think how the hardships they faced then are similar to the ones we face now.

“FDR”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2012

It was interesting to learn that FDR acturally designed the statue of himself in the wheel chair. The quotes surrounding the statue were equally impressive.

“Life & Times of FDR”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 7, 2012

Well spaced and interesting text on Roosevelt's life and the influences of the world on his administration. You get the feeling you are back in that time.

“Amazing Tribute to FDR & his Times”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 7, 2012

Love the four rooms, which accentuate the four freedoms expounded upon by FDR. The design of the monument (FDR & Fala, Eleanor Roosevelt, the breadline, the waterfalls & more) is amazing. Only negative was seeing school children unattended jumping off parts of the monument ~ thought that one may get hurt on the stone.
