“A must see in DC”

Be ready with your widest lens or your stitching tools as the views are grand. A great place to while away a couple of hours.

“A Twentieth Century Masterpiece”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 12, 2013

So many visitors to Washington miss this gem because it is a little out of the way atop the hill in Georgetown (there are frequent buses up the hill from Georgetown shopping centre). This is a gothic masterpiece built in the twentieth century and could rival a lot of the mediaeval european cathedrals. Don't forget to visit the chapels in the crypt and there is a nice walk around the Cathedral gardens.
After your visit, walk down the hill to 'old' Georgetown (and its bustling shopping area), taking in some of the side streets with their old clapper board houses and brick pavements.

“Beautiful Cathedral, fantastic view”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 10, 2013

It is located little bit far away from all the major attraction, but it was totally worth to visit. It reminded me one of major cathedral in Europe. Beautiful groud and the view on the top was also awesome.

“Amazing”

Beautiful! There is so much to take in. Plan to spend at least an hour but you can spend much more if you really want! The view from the top is fantastic, especially on a clear day.

“Washington Cathedral”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 1, 2013

Excellent cathedral similar to the ones in Europe. Includes the tomb for Helen Keller. Note: There was previously no entrance fee; that changes as of the first of the year. Still worth the visit.
