“Stunning!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 8, 2013

Being from London and not knowing the US well at all, we absolutely loved this amazing building. It made us think of what all the cathedrals in Europe would have looked like when they were nearly 'new'! A wonderful place.

“Such a wonderful place!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2013

We visited and toured the Creché exhibit in the crypt recently. How incredible. Such a varied and diverse collection of nativity scenes. A must see for anyone. Plus the decorations at the cathedral during seasonal times are fabulous. Also a great place for a quiet day retreat.

“Breathtaking!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2013

Many people miss this jewel in Georgetown area. We were surprised how much the children enjoyed this beautiful cathedral. The stained glass windows are amazing. It was interesting to see the damage done by the fairly recent earthquake. We combined our visit here with a trip to the zoo. Both are free.

“National Cathedral”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 4, 2013

The National Cathedral is amazing! It's absolutely beautiful inside and if you are there for services the music is excellent. We took a tour a few years ago and learned so much about the design of the cathedral as well as the gargoyles. Finally, Tues - Saturday from 9:30-3:00 you can visit the Opportunity Shop next door for some great deals on gently used items donated to the store (all earnings are shared with local non-profits).
