“Excellent for walking”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 27, 2013

We walked thru Georgetown and stumbled across the university and the several small shops located there. It felt very comfortable walking there and perusing through the shops. I wasn't able to eat at one of the restaurants there, my only regret.

“Charming”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 19, 2013

I loved Georgetown,I finally find another place where I wouldnt mind living besides New York.It so charming, very energetic.I love winsconsin ave,the shops & I must say its probably the best food in the country so far...The streets are extremely beautiful, lots of character & people dress nicely. The men are gorgeous,tall...It's a great place to spoend time visiting the shops, best sweets(Paul, georgetown cupcakes=a must). If you love architecture, you may want to visit the Georgetown University, lovely school.you must also see the STEPS from the movie exorcist, quite fun...the park down by Francis Scott bridge is a nice spot to relax. If you watching the sun setting, you may want to catch it sitting on the watergate steps by the arlignton memorial bridge.I'd move to Georgetown tomorrow If I had the coice.Must visit..

“Unless you take a tour it's crowded, loud and just kinda cheesy”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 15, 2013 via mobile

More or less a beautiful town that's been commercialized to death with lousy restaurants, overpriced shopping and a place where the kids want to appear hip. Tragedy to have lost the history but not surprising it's happening all over the country.

“Beautiful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 15, 2013 via mobile

Loved Georgetown. Wish the weather was warmer. You could spend all day in the shops and restaurants. It's a must see town. Make sure you go to Georgetown Cupcakes for a treat. Dine at Marvin's Tavern and sit in the same booth JFK proposed to Jackie. Also don't forget to see the stairs from the movie the Exorcist.
