“grabbed some chocolate to go”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 2, 2012

Didn't have time to sit down in their amazing restaurant (it's now on my bucket list) but we did quickly slip into their boutique and grab a $40 box of 16 artfully crafted chocolates. It was money, but I think it was a good grab bag of the versatility that the chef? possess.
When I go again I will grab a few of the ones I liked as well as the homemade marshmallow and choc dipped bacon... I do believe you can order online and I will probably be doing that shortly- all this chocolate talk has me craving.
ps i hear their hot chocolates are devine

“Fabulous (if you like chocolate) - Go, go now”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 12, 2012

Was overjoyed to stumble on CoCo Sala, a restaurant in which most dishes have an chocolate or cocoa as an ingredient. This is not just a gimmick. The food is excellent. Must have the Cocojito unless you can't abide sweeter cocktails. And I stuffed myself on small plates that all came out quickly enough for me to get to the theater afterwards. Will definitely be back.

“Exceptional experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2012

We all know how DC service can be... rushed, rude, incompetent, apathetic. Not in all places but I am certainly not shocked when met with yet another waiter who treats the customers like stinky leftovers. This is absolutely not the case at Co Co Sala. Mayra was an excellent server and really made our meal. She was incredibly helpful with meal suggestions and on top of everything we needed. Samed was cooking up something delicious behind the bar with incredible concoctions that certainly satisfied our palette.

My boyfriend and I love trying out new places but often leave with a less than satisfied feel. This was one place that totally blew us away. Decor, tasty foodies, excellent service, and outstanding desserts made this experience exceptional. We will definitely be going back.

“Heavenly drinks and desserts”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2012

Coco Sala is one of my favorite DC bars. Visit during happy hour and sample some of the "signature sips". C3FIX is a fave, made with Svedka Vanilla, Patron Café XO, Bailey’s,and milk. If you enjoy something on the fruity side, try the BB JULEP, made with fresh mint, lime, blackberries and honey bourbon. Hungry? Try Chef Tiptur's 3- or 5-course dessert experience. Think a multiple course dinner composed only of desserts. Sure, it's laden with calories, but you won't soon forget this experience. Enjoy!

“Amazing & Unique”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 26, 2012

Everything about CoCo Sala impresses. The presentation of the tapas like food is on par with the best restuarants in cultures that (unlike America) pay attention to presentation. The food is INCREDIBLE. Watermelon feta salad, tuna tartar, lobster crostini, white choc. rasberry desert -- amazing. Coco Sala is located on one of the most interesting streets in DC and outdoor dining is great.
