“Beautiful and interesting!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 11, 2012

Being in September 2010 in Washington, on my trip, I visited the Renwick Gallery and I found that very interesting. I liked very much the building designed in 1859 in the popular French Second Empire style by James Renwick Jr. Interesting to find was the fact the First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy led the effort to save this architectural and historical gem in 1960s. Here you can see and enjoy one of the finest collections of contemporary American craft in the United States.

“pretty cool Gallery”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2012

We were just hopping around looking for things to do down in DC.(not that there's a shortage) We just ventured in. It wasn't too terrible I enjoyed the works that were there and shot some pics. Def not as exciting as say the history museum but definately worth a look.

Current exhibit highlights artisans under 40. Lots of creativity. Video display of each artist enables the viewer to learn more about each artist. Worth the visit

“This museum is a gem!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 16, 2012

The museum is small, the building is lovely and the arts and crafts that are displayed are unique. I always come away from the Renwick Gallery in awe of the creators of the work.
