“Worth a visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 13, 2014

Great art in toney section of DC- worth a visit- a nice break from the crowd in the Mall area. Only downside- some of the staff a bit smug, but not all.

“The museum in DC I like more”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 11, 2014

This may be, or not, the best museum in DC. But it a small, lovely one. It is a pity that Alexander Calder's bird is no more in exhibition.

“Five star artwork but one star staff attitudes”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 10, 2014

We loved the permanent location which is housed in a building full of character, however the snooty staff seemed to look down their noses at my family and I as we looked around, no cheery welcome that we had found at the other places of interest, hotels and restaurants in DC. Disappointing, as a travel professional in the UK I wish I could say more favourable things about it, my wife has a print of the Boating Party and as we were staying in the area so made it one of our must-sees. Glad we saw the picture but not happy with the cod welcome throughout the Phillips Collection

“Small, Charming, Calm and Quiet”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 7, 2014

If you happen to be in the Dupont Circle area and want a snack-sized modern art museum away from the hustle and bustle, this is the place.

“Good collection, weird space”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 7, 2014

The collection of the museum is amazing but I found the space it was in kind of small and oppressive. Maybe that's just me.
