3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 3, 2014

hotel is in great location in Washington, walking distance from the white house, clean rooms yet very small. it was pre-booked for me so it was ok. breakfast is good and crowded during peak times in the morning

Room Tip: not recommended except for business trips

My visit started out rough. I arrived by car in D.C. rush hour which totally stupefied me. It took almost an hour to travel ten blocks. My GPS landed me on the opposite side of the street and there is no apron to park in order to check in. I called the hotel and discovered that as a chain all calls go through a center in some other city, so it took some time to get patched thru to the location in order to find out how to unload bags. Probably would not be a problem at any other time. Then I discovered that I had to drive several more blocks to park in a public garage to the tune of $20/day.

But after that, everything was great. The room is small but pretty well appointed. The bed is great, though two more pillows would be nice. No fridge, or microwave, but good coffee machine, not that it matters. There is a "living room" on the 2nd floor with all that, including an espresso machine, sodas, tea, and snacks..all free. One cool thing is the "in room printing" which allows you work off you laptop in your room and export the printing to their business center.
They also provide free bottled water thru dispensers in the hallways.

The water pressure and shower were great which is the best after trudging around D.C. all day.
The t.v. is a big screen with lots of channels and you can see it from the desk if you like to multi task like I am now. There is a full length mirror on the wall and a magnifying mirror in the bathroom.

The lobby connects to a privately owned restaurant and bar that has a great happy hour and appetizers with pretty standard pricing. They serve a pretty good hot breakfast buffet, but that isn't such a bargain, running about $15 each.

I don't have a lot of experience with big city hotels and chose it as the most economical in the area I needed to be. Competitors were priced at twice to three times as much so I feared I might regret my frugality, but I am very happy with my choice.

Of course tomorrow, I will have to go find the parking garage and bail out my car and navigate back to block traffic long enough to load my luggage.

Room Tip: If they have interior rooms, it might be worth sacrificing the view to avoid the street noise. Emer...

We used hotwire.com to book a vacation to D.C. We are a young couple that are "old at heart". We picked the downtown area on the site because having been to D.C. before we knew this would be an area close to a lot of the scenic sites. This hotel is great for business travelers, couples etc. They have chilled water and water bottles free to everyone. They also have minimal snacks (nothing to write home about though) and drinks in the living room. The hotel is less than 2 blocks from the white house and also is on a block with a metro stop. We decided to walk most of our trip this time and found the location of our hotel to be pretty central for us. We did notice that at first the internet was a little spotty but overall had no problems. The cable also had a weak signal on a channel or two from time to time but it wasn't a problem for us. Overall we would recommend this hotel to couples, people traveling alone, and business travelers. It doesn't have a pool which can be a downside for families and the rooms would be small for a family traveling (especially for an extended stay). Also the hotel does not include parking. They do recommend the central parking garage on their website. We stayed 4 nights and have truly enjoyed our hotel and the price. We would definitely stay again!

Room Tip: For parking we used the spot hero and parked in a lot about 2 blocks away. It was much cheaper and t...

Chosen for location (two blocks to White House/walking distance to all). Secured a room for $109/night on weekend. While not a five star facility, it has many amenities a business traveler will appreciate.

This place was really bad from the start. When I called to ask about check-in time I was sent through some automated process and I'm fairly sure the person I spoke to was a dispatcher someone, not a woman at the desk. The room was cramped and lacked space for my belongings. There was almost no natural light in the room. The bathroom was tiny, and again there was no space. The customer service was very poor. The staff were inattentive and disinterested. The gym was absurd, even for a hotel gym. Three machines in a room that was barely 100 sq.ft. The only redeeming qualities were the free wi-fi and the "living room" which offered free coffee, tea, snacks and other beverages as well as a TV, desks for working space, computers and newspapers.

I just want to take a moment to say that CUSTOMER SERVICE at CLUB QUARTERS WASHINGTON, D.C. is superior to many hotels I've visited all over the world. Look specifically for daytime worker Kiuana Smith, her friendly professional "taking that extra step" exemplary & there is a gentleman who handles the night shift--an African American well dress man, I'm sorry I've forgotten his name BUT his courteous service, even in the middle of the night, was exceptional. The hotel's proximity to NATIONAL MONUMENTS is outstanding because its just around the corner from important sightseeing in D.C. All in all, the Club Quarters DC is a marvelous hotel that hasn't forgotten the term GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Room Tip: park view is THE BEST!

The location is perfect because it's really closed to the White House (only two blocks) and Museums where you can spend all your day... On the other hand is also really closed to the night life with a lot of restaurants nearby and disco.
The lobby and the hallways look a bit old but the room is quite big, silent and clean.
It is a really cheap hotel considering the incredible area and I would definitely suggest you to go there for a weekend.
One of the best quality/price ratio!
