I stayed here a few times on business. It's cheaper than many of the other hotels around and has better availability. It's location is actually pretty good. It's one stop from Union station and in fact once I ran from the hotel to the station and then down the mall past congress etc. Its very clean and modern and the neighborhood is very safe. Its right next to the metro so easy to get about. Nothing really in the immediate area just lots of federal buildings and apartments. Some restaurants though. Rooms are comfy and well appointed. Gym is very good.

This Marriott is in a great location for federal workers traveling to GSA or ATF's central offices. It's an easy metro ride from DCA and just one stop past Union Station. There are some places to eat within walking distance, but many more just a redline metro trip west to Gallery Place. Overall the hotel is new and clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. Other than free internet, there really isn't much offered to Elite Marriott members, e.g. no free drinks, breakfast, etc.

I truly enjoyed my stay at this Courtyard. Decent area, some eatieries close by (Five Guys, Au Bon Pain etc.) but to top it all off....right beside the metro station. We stayed at this hotel for one night for a Wizards vs. Bulls game. It is easily accessible to the Verizon Center. It was raining that night but the metro station pretty much has a covered walkway all the way to the hotel so no problem there. The hotel was clean, reasonably priced, and we received great customer service.

I mostly really enjoyed my stay here. The decor, lobby and amenities were amazing, as I think this is a very new property. I was able to get a $95 rate through a Marriott Rewards price, which was a great steal. The hotel was literally steps away from a metro stop on the Red Line and therefore super convenient to an interview I had at Catholic University as well as neighborhoods like Dupont, Logan, and Cleveland Park that I later explored. I had a room all the way in the back at the 2nd floor (check-in floor), which was awesome because no one bothered me at all and there was no noise at all. (Unfortunately this also meant I didn't get any housekeeping service until I later called for it about 3 pm one day). The neighborhood was definitely transitional, but I appreciated the proximity to restaurants like Au Bon Pan and the metro.

The staff members were all nice, the internet access very convenient, and the lobby/printing services a real life-saver. They also booked me a ride to IAD for a $80 flat fee. I was initially wary of this service, as it was provided by a wait-staff member at the restaurant, but he was very professional, came early, and offered me a luxurious ride. My only complaint would be that check-in took about 10 minutes longer than I would have liked because the female clerk was fawning over a rapper who was just checking out, leaving me standing with a lot of bags and wanting to get into my room. She nonetheless quickly checked me in after the rapper left, answered all of my questions and hooked me up with maps, the later ride to IAD, metro questions, etc.
