I wanted to like this cafe but couldn't. My onion soup was ok, nothing great. The shreds of some vegetable ends, probably an onion or leek, were off putting and inedible but that wasn't all that was off -- the chipped soup cup, the less than welcoming waiter, the even less than welcoming conversation by the apparent owner/manager to a friend about customers & menus & food items. He sounded like a grumpy guy, and so did the place. The soup was ok, the grilled bread was burnt, and I won't get burned again paying over $5.50 for a small cup of soup in a grumpy cafe with no class. I even had to ask for a glass of water.
My Belgian grandmother wouldn't have liked this place either.
