“Great affordable hotel ”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

Our stay at the Westin lasted for 4 days and it was great. The staff was superb and the rooms were excellent. The only issue my wife and I had was that the AC unit in our room would not get the temperature down as much as we would have liked it to. Other than that, fantastic stay and would definitely recommend.

This room was nice upon check in BUT several calls to maintenance had to be made. The refrigerator didn't work, nor did the safe and heat. The maintenance man was quick to respond, helpful and pleasant. Some of the staff was great, others inept. The Breakfast Buffet provided plenty of choices but the staff was very unfriendly.

Before i ever set foot in the hotel I was in contact with the fabulous Tiffany (concierge) to set up a welcome gift for my boyfriends birthday. She was always available via email and had everything perfect when we arrived! At arrival we were greeted by the awesome valet Tangie. Tiffany was placing the finishing touches on the welcome surprise at arrival so Marsha provided us with drink coupons and within a few moments checked us in. The front desk staff is awesome, Tamya and Nicole just to name a few, and they assisted throughout our stay!! The hotel is convenient to everything we took Uber's everywhere never spent more than $8 on a ride! Next time i come back to DC i know where i am staying!! :)

I was in Washington for work. This was a beautiful hotel. I was attracted to the decor inside as well as the architect.
The bed was comfortable and the hotel bar/restaurant was very enjoyable.
Must stay for my next trip.

Room Tip: stay on the lower floors- the elevators are very slow.

We were there for a Rock n Roll run and the hotel was great! Service was great, they left bananas and water out in the lobby in the morning which was great and had water available after the run. The valet guys were great, nice people and great service. Mesfin is one of my favorite concierge's ever, and I've traveled all over the world, great recommendations for every night and lunch, and just was a nice person. I definitely recommend this hotel, lots of great restaurants to walk to.

The room is a little on the small size but looks nice and clean. The whole hotel is non-smoking so there is no smell of smoke. Our room has two double beds. The mattress and linens are of high quality. The room has a small fridge but no mini bar or microwave. There is a small coffee machine with Starbuck coffee provided. They provide two water bottles next to the coffee machine. If you read the label carefully, the first one is complimentary but the second one will cost three dollars. There is a single seat sofa and a work table. The power outlet can be pulled out of the table top surface to reveal two receptacles. The table also has Ethernet hook up (not free). I was on the 7th floor and still can receive the free wifi signal from the lobby if I stay near the window that faces the lobby atrium. There is a big flat screen TV on top of the dresser. The hotel has a nice workout room in the back. The lobbhy looks nice. There is no complimentary breakfast, only pay buffet. The only free stuff in the lobby is hot apple cider and green apples. The Fringetree Café in the lobby serves sandwiches, pastries and most of Starbuck drinks but the price is a little cheaper than at the Starbuck itself. It only opens from 7 to 12 in the morning. There is also a bar in the lobby. West Wing Café is right next door. CVS across the street opens 24h. The hotel locates between 16th and 14th street which are two major roads here. It is just a little more half a mile to the White House. There are two Metro subway stations about two blocks south of the hotel. There are many restaurants, coffee shop within walking distance around the hotel. This is a nice and convenience place to stay and visit DC.

Great hotel and customers service is even better. When returning to the hotel during my stay, my cab driver's credit card machine was down and he asked for cash. I do not usually carry cash and needed to run inside the lobby to visit the ATM. The valet, Bobby, opened my door and when I told my situation and told him I would return in a few minutes after getting cash, he reached into his pocket and grabbed the $10 to cover my cab ride. This was an exceptional act of customer service and a true display of going above and beyond expectations. Aside from the help with my cab ride, Bobby and the entire valet team were all smiles and very accommodating during my entire stay.
