“Wow!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 23, 2014

My mother and I initially skipped this memorial because it was not the highest on our list; however, upon seeing it on the Big Bus Night Tour, we were amazed and decided to visit it again in the daylight. Wow is a good description! It is really unlike any of the other memorials with 19 soldiers standing in various positions as if walking through a war zone. The faces are of real people and they will leave you speechless. Don't miss this on your trip to Washington DC.

“Honor Air Flight”

What an awe inspiring Memorial. The sculptures were fantastic and their reflections on the wall make it look like the ghost of the deceased are there. Allow yourself time to stop and reflect.

“Nice but packed.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 23, 2014

It's beautiful, but impossible to get a photo of the garden area facing the sculptures. The walk is very nice, the landscaping is breathtaking.

“New to us”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2014

This was a new memorial for us. Large figures are in a planted area--larger than life size, marching like they are in the jungle. Kind of creepy but draws you in. More impressive are the photos of troops--faces, etched onto a large dark marble or granite wall in kind of a collage. VERY realistic but when you touch them, barely anything on the wall. VERY cool and moving images.

“The faces of the forgotten war”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2014

This is by far my favorite memorial in DC. My father served during the Korean War. He said "war is hell," and "it was the hottest hot and the coldest cold." Allow yourself time to pause and take in the platoon.
