“Realistic & Scary”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 28, 2013

This is one of my favorite War Memorials. It scares me and since War is scary, it should. The very lifelike solders on the march, with expressions of fear around the corner on their faces, and the fact that they are silver grey, making them appear ghost like, is very very haunting. All the memorials are worth a visit, but this one is really going to be one you remember.

“A poor man's Vietnam Memorial”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 28, 2013

This is by no means a review of the men who served in Korea. They have my infinite respect and gratitude. But, as a work of art, this seems like a Vietnam Memorial (which is breathtaking) wannabe. Sort of appropriate, I suppose, considering how the Korean War is so overshadowed by both WW2 and Vietnam in the public psyche. Still, it is very much worth reflecting upon.

“Great New Monument”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 27, 2013

This was my first time to see the new Korean War Memorial and I have to say it was a fantastic addition to the national mall area. It compliments the other monuments and is a great tribute to the men and women who fought and served in the Korean War. Totally glad to see they now have a monument they can be proud of. It was a long time coming and proud to have seen it! Make sure you stop by on your visit to DC.

“A Worthy Memorial”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 27, 2013

This is one of our favorite war memorials based on design. The memorial is a life sized military unit on patrol during a rainstorm. It makes you feel the tension and anxiety that the soldiers felt.

This is a must see, even if your child know nothing about the Korean War. They well understand and feel the soldiers fear.

“Interesting memorial”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 27, 2013

The artists did a nice job with this memorial and our tour guide explained the different branches of the military represented there. Plus to see a constant thankful from South Korea is very nice.
