“Interesting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2012

The figures at this memorial provide a realness to exactly how this war played out. The statues are doubled with the mirror.

“Well done memorial of a little known about conflict”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2012

This might be my favorite memorial in DC. It is so well done and doesn't have the over the top feeling of the WW2 memorial, which in my opinion is too busy and loud. I would recommend getting up very early when there is still a light mist or fog on the ground - this way you won't be able to see the statues bolted into the ground. Out of the mists and gray haze it appears to be the ghosts of the war walking towards you. It is chilling and a haunting reminder to this conflict.

Extremely well done as a memorial for those who served there. The figures are life size and the facial expressions life like.

“The statues were very impressive.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2012

We went by this Memorial and found it very effective as a reminder of what went on in the Korean War. We were impressed with the character of the soldiers depicted there. You should see this one along with the other memorials in this area.

“Powerful at night”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 26, 2012

This memorial is very powerful to see at night. The statues dredging through a field in full rain gear and equipment told a visual story of the troops.
