“Check out the portraits of american presidents on the second floor”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 18, 2012

All the American President's have portraits - many different styles, see how many you can recognize. Good for kids from about 8 years up

“Far from the Mall, but worth a visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 18, 2012

This gallery is located near the Verizon Center. It's not far from the Metro stop, but it's also at a walkable distance from the National Mall if you have the time and legs for a nice long walk. It's a small gallery, but it has some great collections and visiting exhibits. It's also close to lots of yummy food options.

“Worthwhile visit - even for an hour”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 17, 2012

We said we only had an hour and the staff patiently advised we visit Contemporary Americans on third floor and the Presidents on second floor. We were well advised! Enjoyable visit - we also looked around the Black Americans Gallery and were thrilled to meet Whoopi Goldberg again who we seen the previous week near a famous bridge in Venice -Las Vegas :-)

“Educational and enjoyable”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 16, 2012

A mix of persons both historical and modern, well-known and obscure make the museum a fun, unique place to visit, especially since it is co-located with the American Art Museum. And it's free.
