“Striking in realism and simplicity”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 18, 2013

Probably took a long time for women in the front lines to be honoured but it has happened and this is a great monument to all those women who served in war zones.

It's quite a largish monument, larger than actually size anyway and situated in a picturesque park and not far from the smother war monuments, ie Korea, and Vietnam

“Very moving”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 17, 2013

A long overdue tribute to the brave women who not only served in Viet Nam, but in all wars. The expressions on their faces says it all. Just a wonderful sculpture. Look for it as it's easy to miss. You almost come upon it by accident.

“Small But Evocative”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 12, 2013

This small but evocative memorial to the women who served in Vietnam is certainly not representative in scale of their contributions. Nonetheless, it is set in a pleasant nook near the "main" Vietnam Memorial and should not be overlooked when visiting there.

“Tugs at your heartstrings!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 28, 2013

This memorial is easily missed since it is small and set along a wooded path, without the space and publicity afforded the other monuments near the Mall. However, of all these monuments, both my husband and I were both moved by this one. The talent of the individual who sculpted this lifelike tribune to the nurses in the Vietnam war is truly extraordinary! Watching over a critically wounded soldier and scanning the skies for a rescue helicopter, their caring and their anguish touches your heart! This statue is art at its best!

“Don't miss”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 9, 2013

A nice tribute to the woman of the war who are often over looked in other memorials and museums. Only reason for four stars is because it is easy to miss, especially at night, so be sure to check a map of the national mall to find it's location.
