“Unbelievably fantastic”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 27, 2013

.. even if you are not 'in' to planes etc., this place is fascinating. Larger than the Smithsonian on the Mall. Incredible displays - including a real Shuttle craft and the original Enola Gay, a Concorde and a stealth bomber. It's a shame the only food outlet is a McDonald's, but the museum is a perfect place to while away a few hours before your flight. Kids would love it ... and I did too. Free entrance but $15 parking charge.

“The sky is the limit ...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 26, 2013

This museum is so exciting with all the planes, airships, missiles, pilots, astronauts, etc that has make flying so interesting for mankind. It takes you through the history of what mankind has achieved and also leaves you to think, that there is still so much more to explore out there. It is a great attraction for the kids, with the IMAX theaters a great attraction.

“Too much”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 26, 2013

I spent one whole day and part of another at Air and Space, and still didn't get to see it all. The Apollo missions display is really interesting, sending those guys up with just a slide rule and some duct tape. And the Wright flyer, wow. Just too many exhibits to take them all in, pick your favorites and concentrate on just those.

“Great airplanes and rockets”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 26, 2013

Loved the real hanging airplanes, the films, the interactive activities. Saw Hubble Space Telescope IMAX show...really good space video and good explanation of the missions.

“So much to see”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 25, 2013

It's hard to believe that all the museums here are free. At this one we learned about everything from V2s, to Amelia Earhart, the Wright brothers and the moon landing.
Definitely worth your while, especially if you have kids.
The drones suspended from the ceiling were the piece de resistance for me.
