“Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum”

A bit out of the way but worth the time. It is free but parking is $15 and you have to have a car to get to it. We used the hotel shuttle to avoid the fee.

“Incredible!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 21, 2013

This museum is stunning (and it's free!!!!!!!)

I was in awe of the genius of air and space travel. I've always thought it was amazing, but this museum gives you an up close encounter with how incredible the feat is.

Our 5 year old son loved it as much as us.

Brilliant!

“Worth seeing for free.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 21, 2013

This museum was not my favorite. It was worth seeing, but my husband got more out of it than me. The planetarium show is NOT worth the price - even with a discount.

“Awesome museum.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 21, 2013

But unless you you must go on a weekend, or especially on a holiday weekend, go on a quiet weekday to avoid the crowds.

“President's weekend”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 21, 2013

If you plan to go on a holiday weekend, go early! By 1 p.m. very crowded. It was great and lots to see in one day.
