“Feeling Patriotic”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 2, 2014

As a semi-local to the area, I find myself taking the National Mall for granted. There is so much to see and so much to learn. Seeing the many people from across the globe really puts into context the importance of all the monuments. It's all walkable, and the view from each part of the others is really magnificent.

“Always interesting”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 2, 2014

You never know what will be going on n the mall. Whether it's a rally, a festival, or just some DC natives tossing the frisbee, it's always interesting to stroll through the mall.

“Great way to spend an afternoon”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 2, 2014

Although I've been to Washington DC several times over the years, it has been a number of years since my last visit. Since then, there have been a few changes and additions. One feature that is new since my last visit is the bike share program. What a great way to get around an area that is not car friendly. There are several metro stops in the area, and there are bike share racks close by. I never tire of seeing these great monuments. When coming from the Washington Monument, you come to the WW2 Memorial, followed by the Reflecting pool, and then the Lincoln Memorial. From there, the Korean War Memorial is in one direction, and the Vuetnsm Memorizl is in the other direction. Doing that much took a little over two hours. There are benches all around the mall to rest and people watch. I was amazed at the turnover of bikes. One minute the bike rack was empty. Within minutes, it was full. It's good to see them being utilized.

“Go by bike!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 2, 2014

We visited all the Mall by Bike with Capital bikes and had the most interesting tour with their guide Chris. It enabled us to go back to the best of the museum that he recommended.

“Cold or Crowds?”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 2, 2014

I walked the mall in January, and, while it was cold, I was able to see everything I wanted without much fuss. When I drifted through in June, I was glad I went in the winter. Even if I'd had to bundle up, at least I hadn't had to push through crowds of sweaty tourists.
