“Nice mall”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 8, 2013 via mobile

This mall is in a wonderful location, so if you visit DC for the first time like I did then after you go on a tour , take a short trip to this mall. The food court is great, there is a wide variety of shops to chose from.

“For a giant plot of land, surprisingly cool”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 7, 2013

To be fair, it's lined with incredible museums and architecture, and book-end(ed) with fantastic monuments. It's also a jogger's paradise. Even in December, this city is rammed with joggers, day and night. Paths lining each side of the mall are made of a kind of crushed clay specifically for joggers. I was really impressed and learned to love the mall, in spite of it's length (and more sore feet).

“a must do!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 6, 2013

lines and lines of FREE museum, layers and layers of history, breathtaking views from all over, from any point: that is the national mall.
two or three days are not enough to savor the greatness and blessings of humanity's quest inside and outside itself...start the journey with your first step.

“See it all in 1 place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 4, 2013

Easy access from multiple Subburbs of DC through the Metro. Step off the Metro and you are there, everything you wanted to see is within walking distance. They also have bikes and rickshaws for rent, and bus tours that are pretty expensive and don't give you the full experience of the monuments, museums, etc.
Come and see it ALL...bring your best walking shoes and camera. It's the bomb!

“The very best of our Nation.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 3, 2013

Never saw the monuments at nighttime before. It was quiet and very special. The Vietnam memorial seems even more profound when you slowly walk down the ramp and up the other side.
