“Informative and Interesting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 20, 2013

Since the Smithsonian has expanded to Air and Space and Natural History (the ones I visited) as well as others, exhibits are very informative and interesting to a wide range of age groups.

“Free?!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 20, 2013

Washington has loads of these free things and Smithsonian is a "must see". Educational, entertaining, interesting and loads more. It is laid out really well too so you see alot of things in a short space of time. You could see almost everything in twenty minutes if you move quickly.

“Our National Attic”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 19, 2013

The Smithsonian is a must see and well worth the visit. The exhibits are infinite and very well presented. Lots of recognizable historical items both new and old. A dream visit for history buffs! The staff is courteous and knowledgeable.

“Go see Smithsonian's National Museum of the American Indian”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 19, 2013

Actually visited in 2011, but site didn't let me go that far back--First time to D.C. & came to see NMAI museum. Free admission to all Smithsonian museums. Wonderful collection of Native American artifacts, including astonishing beadwork. Enjoyed many visits to Mashantucket Pequot Museum (Superb!) here in Connecticut & this trip to see this collection was a great introduction to the Smithsonian. Also purchased tickets to see our first up-close show of Kevin Locke in their auditorium on-site. Kevin's performance was amazing and the auditorium wasn't so large that any seat was too far from the stage. Very pleasant people working here and in the gift shop. No parking available, but we took the subway and then walked the short distance to the museum. Walked a lot throughout the museum - wished they had more places to sit.

“Great Museums and all are free”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 19, 2013

I always love to visit these museums. My favorite is the Air and Space. If you get a chance, visit the additional Air and Space Museum next to Dulles Airport. They have all the big "birds" out there. They do charge for parking but worth it.
