“A must see on your trip”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2013

Awesome to see (timing was bad on our part - scaffolding up on this and many other buildings) and to be able to stand up, so close. Be prepared though, lots of people! Building is amazing. Reflecting pond was pretty gross (dirty) duck droppings all around it, but still amazing to see! Be prepared to walk - although a very pleasant walk from the other museums.

“Awe inspiring”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2013 via mobile

A must see. We went at sunset...thousands of people. Just be patient. You can get good photos. Scaffolding on Lincoln to the right made getting a good shot of him difficult.

Read the Gettysburg address on the walls. What a monument.

Great look down the reflecting pool to Washington monument.....and as previously stated the pool was a little dirty. That was a shame.

“Great Place to Ponder and Think”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2013

Love the atmosphere inside and out. I come here often to read the inscriptions and to just sit on the stairs and look out at the Washington Monument and the reflecting pool. So many variations depending on the season to make it special each time.

“Iconic. A DC must see.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2013

Whether you go to see Abe, or to see the view of the reflecting pool and the Washington Monument, this is quintessential DC. And on Lincoln's right ( the Gettysburg Address side ) look at the back of his head, and confirm or bust the myth about Lee's face in profile.

“cleaning the statue”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2013

whilst this is one of the top monuments we were really disappointed as scafolding was up across half the figure whilst cleaning was in process.
surely this could be done through the night or the parks service could put an alert on their site.
