“Amazing value Boutique hotel in the heart of DC.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 11, 2013

Everything about this hotel is amazing.......except the low ceilings in the rooms. If you are even borderline claustrophobic do not stay here. The ceilings are very low. If that doesn't bother you then this place is perfect. I especially enjoyed the in house restaurant Art and Soul. Oh my gosh the BLT sandwich was heavenly. Also the rooms offer a large selection of unique pillows. From buckwheat pillows to anti stress magnetic pillows to pillows you can attach your iPod to they made my 5 day soo peaceful. This is the only place I will ever stay in DC.

“Small rooms”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 10, 2013

Rooms, closets, and bathrooms are very small. Location is good, close to union station and capitol hill. My room had the "scenic view", which happens to be the Hyatt across the street.

Restaraunt closed during stay, only room service option (be prepared to pay DC prices plus 5.00 delivery fee, 18% tax). I would only stay with discount on room.

Dear sjdif,

I am so sorry that you were here during the restaurant renovation. We feel terrible for all of our guests that were inconvenienced during that time. We assure you that it is a quick temporary transition and the restaurant will be up and running next week! If you do come back to Washington, DC please contact me directly- I'd like to speak with you to personally apologize.

“Great location for lobbying”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2013

The best part of this hotel is the convenient location for those needing to do work in the Hill area. On my last stay I snagged one of the newly remodeled rooms. While the room was small, the updates were nice. Unfortunately, this room faced the loading dock and the early morning garbage pick up, complete with back up warning alarm. Staying here? Ask for a room that doesn't face the interior/ loading dock.

Dear Randy K,

Were you here to do work on Capitol Hill? We find that this is the best location for business travelers who need to do work in the area. It makes a long day a bit better when you come back to a plush comfortable bed and a hot shower. We look forward to seeing you again!

“A Good Choice for D.C.!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2013

We book a standard room (# 829). It was very clean and the bed was very comfortable as well! Our rate did not include breakfast, means we ate outside the hotel. The hotel is near the Grand Central Station. If you arrive at IAD, a Taxi ride costs you 65.-, from DCA approx 20.- From the hotel you can walk easily to any place of interest! The White House you can reach in 20-30min depend on how fast you walk. We book a hop on/off night tour and 24h pass. The night tour I can highly recommend!!! the big red bus have a fix stop at the hotel itself! For breakfast, lunch and dinner go to F or E street heading toward the White House. There are many excellent places! See my other trip tips for D.C.

Dear Eathealthy,

How neat! What was your favorite part about the night tour? I have never tried it personally but it sounds like it would be a tour of Washington, DC from a different perspective. What great restaurants did you try around the area? Did you eat at Johnnys Half Shell?

“Overrated!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed February 6, 2013 via mobile

Been here 2 years in a row. Thus year is the worst! Judge for yourself: $270/per night for a queen room. You would think they would throw in other amenities -no! A cup of coffee is $3.00, a glass of wine is $14 (6 oz) and internet access is $12 per day, PER DEVICE. We paid $96 for an iPhone, an iPad, and a laptop for three days wireless. How many other hotels in America have FREE Internet access? Not only that, the restaurant and bar was closed for remodeling. Worthless! Room was fairly nice, but bathroom is small.
