“Very Interesting Place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 8, 2013

Spent several hours hitting the highlights of the Newsuem, could have easily spent all day. Lots of great exhibits, well laid out, friendly staff. Good amount of interactive features as well. Favorite part was the collection of newspapers dating from the 1600's all the way to now.

“Not to be missed”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 8, 2013

This was a highlight of our Washington visit. The museum is like no other I have visited with great interactive areas as well as displays of news from around the world. The 9/11 gallery is very moving and the video footage extraordinary.
there is something for everyone here.

“Newseum = big hassle”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 5, 2013

I was all excited about going ot the New Museum. I walked over from my hostel. I got there, however, and saw the prices were not only quite HIGH, the were pre-TAX. The coup de grace was the little martinet (sort of like a Stasi agent) with a surly attitude who would have done TSA proud at the metal detector, check in place.

Not worth it. Don't bother. Over priced. Surly employees.

“Amazing journey through history”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2013

We finally got to this place and so enjoyed it. It is history as seen through the different new media. So much to see. We must return. The newspaper headline section was so interesting as they had so many papers - not just the big ones. There is so much to see and digest that you need 2 days. My only complaint was that some of the original reading materials and newspapers did not have a lot of light making it difficult to read. (Though I realize that some of the original material could be damaged by light - how about a digital verion for easier reading?) The material on 9/11 was spectacular. Great for teens and adults interested in serious history.
