“!!Rocked My World!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 11, 2013 via mobile

We decided to check out Snow Canyon on a whim one Sunday afternoon. We drove up the canyon and was greeted by a happy helpy helper at the toll booth. We paid $6 to get in which we thought was a deal: way less than a combo meal at mcdonalds and less cholesterol too...bonus!
Anyway, we hiked the Hidden Pinyoun trail and thanks to our handy botanical guide (provided at the trail head) we can now survive off 3 different species of cactui, make soap and shoes out of yucca, and brew a mean pot of utah tea from junipers.
By the way the rock formations rocked. Literally.

“Hidden Treasure in Utah”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 7, 2012

We had already been to Zion and Bryce, which are beautiful beyond words. Had an extra day just to look around the area. We saw the sign for Snow Canyon Park and thought we would take a look. It is just out side of St George and is wonderful. Has several hiking area, and places to just get out of the car and be one with the red rocks. The day we were there was quiet, and mostly local people walking the paths and pushing baby strollers. We were amazed that we had seen nothing in print talking about the area. There are lava flow rocks, several volvano areas, and some lovely vistas. Highly recommend that you check this out, not a huge area but enough that you are not overwhelmed.

“Beautiful State Park Untrammeled by the Tourbus Hordes”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 17, 2012

This is a lovely state park on the outskirts of St. George. If it were listed under "St. George things to do," more travelers would be aware of it. I hiked a lovely 1.5 mile trail called "Hidden Pinyon."

In contrast to Utah's National Parks that attract worldwide visitors, this park appears to attract primarily domestic ,non tour bus, travelers.

“Another gorgeous red rock park”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 16, 2012

This park is a state park, but well worth the visit. Lots of trails and beautiful scenery to see. It is a short drive, less than 10 miles from the city of St. George. This isn't Zion or Bryce, but well worth time to stop and see this canyon.
