This is the most beautiful paradise in South Carolina. The color of the water is stunning. The waterfalls are remarkable. This is a must see. The entire area is very well kept and peaceful. They have a variety of activities such as hiking and diving courses to view the underwater valley. This place is amazing.

“A perfect day on the boat”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 11, 2012 via mobile

We had been with all the family for a Saturday of relax. We had rent a boat for all the day (calculate 300 usd) and we went alla around this beautiful lake looking at the beautiful houses and the curious nature that is all around. We had eat in the boat and had took many bath were the water were more clear.. In July the temperature is really very hot and have a trip on a boat in this lake not far from Atlanta or Greenville ( approx 1 hour) was a very good idea. Let me suggest it !

“Gorgeous clean, clear water and sandy beaches”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 3, 2011

The roads are long and windy to get there, however you won't be disappointed! The lake is gorgeous, with nice sandy beaches (with easy access at Devils Fork State Park), the water was warm (in August) and unbelievably clean and clear. No moss, algae, turbidity, mud etc. We took our two young boys and they swam near the shore for hours. It's only $2/person over the age of 15 to get into the park and well worth it. Bathrooms and picnic areas are also available at the Park.

“Spectacular place!!! A must see!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2011

One of the untouched beauties of the Upstate. Absolutely a must see. Word of warning: know the weather report for the day if you plan to be on the water. Jocassee is in a valley between mointains so storms come up very quickly and the water becomes very violent. If using a small water craft, stay near the shoreline for quick exit. NO I am not joking or exaggerating. Its an honest to goodness warning.

“Spectatular Waterfall Paradise in SC Upstate - Family - Couples”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2009

Lake Jocassee is one of the most serene and beautiful lakes in the Southeast USA. The emerald green waters and white sand beaches are unbelivable. Waterfalls cascade in magnificent splendor all along the 75 miles of unspoiled shoreline. Enjoy a weeks stay in this area as there are dozens of waterfalls trails and fantastic day trips like whitewater rafting and horseback riding.
