“One of the most beautiful rivers in Florida”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 5, 2012

I led a group of 25 people down the Suwannee River from Dowling Park, FL to Branford, FL. The river trail is well maintained and the ability to stay at the Suwannee Rivercamps for FREE is a bonus! This section of the river is 39 miles total. We did it in 3 days. When the river is the right level, you get a 3 mph-ish current which makes the paddle fantastic! This section has multiple natural springs that are great for swimming and cooling off. I love the Suwannee River and will be taking a group again next year!

“Unbelievable Kayak Adventure”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 12, 2011

The State of Florida has another hidden treasure, in the Suwannee River. My brother-in-law, and I (ages 70 and 63) just completed a 72 mile kayak trip, from Spirit of the Suwannee River Park to Bradford, Florida.

The State of Florida has built six river camps along the river for overnight accommodations - There isn't any cost, but reservations are recommended to assure yourself one of the screened enclosed platforms. (Suwanneeriver.com) - In addition to the platforms, the camps have restrooms and hot showers, again free of charge -
There are a number of outfitters on the river that can assist you in planning your trip
