“Great Location, Great Campground”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 19, 2013

We stayed at SP campground over the 4th of July week. I found it to be just the right mix of "camping" and "comfort". The sites are level and shaded and the showers are clean. In addition, it is very close to a small store where you can buy all the things you forgot. I'd go back back again!

“Camptopia”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2013

Our 4 night stay at Sugar Pine Point State Park campground was exceptional. On a very busy 4th of July week we felt more surrounded by pine trees than people. Our camp site was spacious and well kept (170). Bathrooms and showers($0.50 goes a long way) were easily accessible and fairly clean. Lots of running, hiking and bike riding within in the campground and all over the surrounding area. General creek is a quaint little spot but not really a fishing place. The trails are from the 1960 Winter Olympics cross-country skiiing; sort of a trip back in history. Be sure to visit the Ehrman Mansion at the Sugar Pine Point StatePark. The tour was very nice and informative, the beach is popular so get there early. I would definitely stay there again!

“Camping at Sugar Pine State Park”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 15, 2011

We camped at Sugar Pine with three other families over Labor Day. The campground was very good. Our favorite activity was jumping off the pier into Lake Tahoe. Water was not as cold as we expected. The bathrooms and showers were good enough for campground standards. The only two negatives: 1. The campground was very dusty (but it is camping) and 2. The Labor Day traffic was horrible. But overall, a good experience.
