I've been fortunate enough to see every inch of every bit of shoreline in Prince William Sound. This place is a true sightseers gem. I've traveled a long way to see country that can't hold a candle to what I've got in my own backyard. Yes, there was oil, and yes, you can still find some if you go looking for it, and yes, the oil is probably still affecting some fish and wildlife, but it is so easy to forget about that whole deal when you are in a kayak, watching a tidewater glacier calve into the, ummmm, tidewater. But hurry, those glaciers certainly aren't getting any bigger, and they have receded notably in the short time I have been visiting them.
