We stayed for two nights in this casa and enjoyed the comfortable atmosphere and kindness of the owners. Jesús didn't speak much English, but we managed just fine. He seemed to anticipate our needs and made us feel right at home. We arrived mid-afternoon, so he took us around the corner and arranged for us to purchase pizzas for 1CUC. The food was excellent and abundant...we couldn't eat everything we were served at any meal. We loved the panoramic view from the upper balcony...we could see the mountains, the Valle de Los Ingenios, the Tower and roof-tops of the city. It was our favorite place to relax and have a beer and enjoy the shade the the Mango tree which grew up through the center of the house. The house was very old, and the habitation area, probably an addition to the courtyard, was quite charming, the rooms were clean and comfortable. We left late in the afternoon and were allowed to use our room till then. Jesús arranged for a man with a wheelbarrow to take our luggage to the bus station and accompanied us so we would get to the Viazul wicket and not be harrassed by the taxi drivers at the door. My only regret was that I didn't think to take a photo of 3 Canadains and 1 Cuban following the wheelbarrow down the cobblestone street! We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this casa to anyone.
