“A very special place to stay on Waiheke”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 26, 2012

This is our 2nd trip to Waiheke Island. On early March, we have stayed in the Little Barrier Room for one night at Enclosure Bay. We have chosen this place based on the advice here and it was everything we expected and more. Andy, who had Hotel management experience, puts the key abstracts of B&B, Hotel, and homestay services into managing this lovely place. Andy picked us up at the pier and dropped us off at a few place to introduce the island to us. He also suggested us to place to dine and helped us to arrange the wine tour on next day. As we decided to have a walk after arrival, Andy dropped us off at the town center and gave advice on the tracks to walk around the Island. He even offered to drive us to the Italian restaurant at the evening. As others mentioned, the Little Barrier room has the best view, 180 degree sea view. We have bought a wine, again suggested by Andy, and enjoy it with the great scene very much. Thank you Jenny & Andy and look forward to stay here again on our next visit, perhaps another 4 years, Andy. Stayed here for two nights to celebtrate an important birthday. Andy was absolutely fantastic, waiting up for us on the Friday night as we were unexpectedly on the late ferry and was happy to drop us off at a couple of places over the weekend as we did not have a car. Great spot to stay, amazing view, great quality accomodation and very friendly hosts...highly recommended.

We stayed with Andy Osborne at Enclosure bay at the end of February, 2012. This is a beautiful property with a congenial host, who is very helpful with arranging tours, recommending walks, places to dine, etc.
We stayed in the Little Barrier room, with such amazing views from the windows, and its own private deck, that we would have been quite happy to not go anywhere, and just enjoy the view. However, Andy had booked a wine tour for us with "Waiheke Island Wine Tours" and Wayne Eagleton - absolutely wonderful tour and highly recommended.
The room is very quiet, clean, and comfortable. We would love to stay here again sometime.

Room Tip: We loved the Little Barrier room. The other rooms are lower, and I can imagine that the views might...

Waiheke island is incredible and this is by far the best place to stay. Andy was a fabulous host and although we only booked our stay once we'd arrived on the island, he was happy to accomodate us at short notice. He also recommended vineyards for us to try and even drove us!!! The house is stunning and has incredible views. Our room was beautiful and had everything we could have wanted. We were sad to only be staying one night at Enclosure Bay and have already recommended it to family and friends in New Zealand and the UK. We will definately be back again!! THANK YOU!!!!!

The consensus between my partner and I, was that this was the best weekend of our lives thus far.

We stayed in the Waiheke Suite, and we were definitely not disappointed. The view was spectacular, the suite was modern, comfortable and had all the ammenities you could need.

Aside from the fabulous location, the hosts were great, and went above & beyond. Andy picked us up from the Ferry terminal, prepared us a beautiful lunch platter on arrival, and let us use the car to tour the island, and recommended some great spots including Poderi Crisci where we enjoyed a traditional Itallian long lunch set in a beautiful vineyard.

We also enjoyed a relaxing sunset spa, and with the most stunning views, it was simply perfect.

If you are looking for a modern place to stay, with fantastic views, romance in spades and great hosts, Enclosure Bay B&B is as good as it gets!

Room Tip: Go the Waiheke Suite for great views

This is by far the best place to stay on waiheke! Andy and Jenny were more than wonderful!
From the moment we stepped off the ferry, Andy was waiting for us and didnt mind ferrying us around the island. As we didnt hire a car, he showed us where to go and we could call him to pick us up!

The house is AMAZING. views were fantastic from our rooms and from the looks of it, all of the rooms have great views.

The spa pool was only a few steps away from our room (great barrier room) and we hopped in the spa at night and saw 7 shooting stars!

Breakfast the next morning was fresh and the room was fantastic!!

We highly recommend Enclosure Bay to anyone that wants a quick getaway or a long stay on the island!

We will definitely be back!

Room Tip: Great barrier is the biggest room with the best access to the spa!
